All Olympic licenses that were to be played at the World Relays in Nassau (May 4-5) have found their owners. 14 teams in each of the disciplines, including the Ukrainian mixed 4×400 meter relay team, received their “tickets” to Paris-2024. Two more teams will be added according to the world top-list as of June 30, 2024 (the qualification window opened on December 31, 2022).
Ukraine had a chance for one more license. The women’s 4×400 meter relay team fought for it. But on neither the first nor the second day, Kateryna Karpyuk, Tetyana Kharaschuk, Victoria Tkachuk and Maryana Shostak, unfortunately, failed to get into the first two in the race. In the additional round, they finished fifth (3:33:43 min).
Instead, the race was won by the Belgians (3:26.79 min), and another license was won by the Spanish women, who also broke the national record (3:27.30 min).
Also, on the second day of the license to Paris, the women’s 4×400 meter foursome from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Jamaica and India won.
